Learn how green building designs can benefit the environment as well as your living space and workplace.

Ten Shades of Green will be featured at Glassworks (815 W. Market) through Sept. 27.  The exhibit showcases high-performance building designs, both commercial and residential, from around the world. More background info is available at www.archleague.org/tenshadesofgreen/10shades.html Architectural drawings and models emphasize energy-efficiency and other design attributes that benefit the environment and the workplace. The exhibit is free and open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday.

The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District contributed $10,000 to bring the exhibit here as part of a tour organized by the Architectural League of New York. Other exhibit funders include Herman Miller, a furniture designer, and Perkins & Will, a Chicago architectural firm.
