Notice of Public Hearing and Comment Period

The Air Pollution Control Board of Jefferson County opens a public comment period July 18, 2002, and will hold a public hearing August 21, 2002, on amended District Regulations 5.14 Hazardous Air Pollutants and Source Categories, Version #6, Draft #2 - Proposed, July 17, 2002; and 6.29 Standard of Performance for Existing Graphic Arts Facilities Using Rotogravure and Flexography, Version #7, Draft #2 - Proposed, June 3, 2002; and the repeal of Regulation 7.57 Standard of Performance for New Graphic Arts Facilities Using Rotogravure and Flexography, Version #7, Draft #1 - Proposed, May 29, 2002. If adopted by the Board, amended Regulation 6.29 will be submitted to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for inclusion in the Kentucky State Implementation Plan (SIP) and repealed Regulation 7.57 will be requested to be removed from the SIP.

Written statements will be accepted by the Board, Jonathan L. Trout, Secretary-Treasurer, 850 Barret Ave., Louisville, KY 40204-1745, until 5 p.m. August 16, 2002. Written statements will also be accepted electronically until the same deadline via the Internet at the e-mail address "regs@apcd.org". Oral statements will be accepted at the public hearing on August 21, 2002, at 9 a.m. in the Board Room, 850 Barret Ave, Louisville.
