Louisville Bicycle Club will sponsor its 3rd annual bike yard sale and bike fest at Cherokee Park (Rugby Field area) on Sunday, May 26, from 12:00-4:00 pm.
Participants can sell and buy used bikes at the event. LBC volunteers will sell bikes and bike-related equipment for you so that you can enjoy the BikeFest activities (if you'd like to help or sell at the event, contact "bikelbc@aol.com"). Include a fax number so that an inventory form can be provided. Fill it out, tag equipment or bikes with owner's initials and its price, and bring it to BikeFest before noon on May 26. Easy, eh?
If you have a LOT of stuff, you can use a table at the BikeFest tent and
sell your own stuff, but tables are on a first-come, first-serve basis, and tables are limited. Pricing and appraisals are the responsibility of the owner. You can also donate leftover bikes and equipment to Kentucky Refugee Ministries' Chain Reaction program, by marking the spot on the inventory form, and you won't even have to pick up your old, unsold stuff at the end of the day. Anything not picked up prior to 4:30 p.m. on BikeFest day is considered donated.There will be organized rides in the morning from 8:30 to 11:00 a.m. (check www.louisvillebicycleclub.org under touring for scheduling info).
