Air Pollution Control District of Jefferson County
The Air Pollution Control Board of Jefferson County will hold a public hearing on August 15, 2001, at 9:00 a.m. in the Board Room, 850 Barret Avenue. The Board will consider a proposed order with Borden Chemical, Inc., 6200 Camp Ground Road, for alleged violations of
Regulation 2.17 Federally Enforceable District Origin Operating Permits,
Regulation 5.12 Standards of Performance for New or Modified Sources Emitting Toxic Air Pollutants, and
Regulation 7.25 Standard of Performance for New Sources Using Volatile Organic Compounds.
The Company proposes a Supplemental Environmental Project that will reduce the emissions of volatile organic compounds and hazardous air pollutants.
Written comments will be accepted from the public by August 14, 2001, to determine Board action. Oral comments will be accepted from the public during the hearing. Information may be obtained from Ms. Terri Phelps, 502/574-6047, between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
