Notice of Public Comment Period and Hearing

The Air Pollution Control Board of Jefferson County opens a public comment period May 10, 2001, and will hold a public hearing June 20, 2001, on amendments to the following District Regulations: 1.15 Version of Federal Regulations Incorporated by Reference, Version # 8, Draft # 2 - Proposed, April 4, 2001; 5.02 Federal Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants Incorporated by Reference, Version # 9, Draft # 6 - Proposed, May 1, 2001; 5.14 Hazardous Air Pollutants and Source Categories, Version # 4, Draft # 3 - Proposed, April 26, 2001; 5.15 Chemical Accident Prevention Provisions, Version # 3, Draft # 3 - Proposed, April 26, 2001; and 7.02 Federal New Source Performance Standards Incorporated by Reference, Version # 8, Draft # 5 - Proposed, May 1, 2001, and the adoption of new Regulation 6.49 Standards of Performance for Reactor Processes and Distillation Operations Processes in the Synthetic Organic Chemical Manufacturing Industry, Version # 1, Draft #2 - Proposed, April 27, 2001. If adopted by the Board, Regulation 6.49 will be submitted to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for inclusion in the Kentucky State Implementation Plan.

Written statements will be accepted by the Board, Jonathan L. Trout, Secretary-Treasurer, 850 Barret Ave., Louisville, KY 40204-1745, until 5 p.m. June 8, 2001. Written statements will also be accepted electronically until the same deadline via the Internet at the e-mail address “regs@apcd.org”. Oral statements will be accepted at the public hearing on June 20, 2001, at 9 a.m. in the Board Room, 850 Barret Ave.
